Hague fasteners was originally founded in 1971 by John Stuart Hague and is now a third generation business manufacturing high quality fasteners, concentrating on non standard sizes and exotic materials, Hague fasteners have recently moved to a new site three times the size which has been custom built enabling a doubling in production that will see even faster production times.

To support this growth Hague fasteners decided to upgrade their Fork Truck which Tom Hague was tasked to source, Tom stated ” I liked the fact West Mercia Fork Trucks are also a family business and the web site is impressive and easy to use. In 2009, West Mercia Fork Trucks supplied the then newly-incorporated BJS Home Delivery with their very first forklift truck. Since then, BJS Home Delivery has grown to become one of the UK's leading two-man, home delivery services.

To meet the demands of their dramatic business growth, BJS Home Delivery now occupies a 325,000 square foot facility. BJS Home Delivery currently runs a fleet of over 50 forklift trucks which keep their the day-to-day business running smoothly.

Sceneset have been delivering high quality conference sets, staging and exhibition stands for over 15 years, they have a dedicated and committed core team of staff with many years of industry experience.

In 2015 West Mercia contactedt Rolfe Massey a Sceneset in West Bromwich regarding servicing of their Yale Reach.  Rolfe had had a couple of small issues with his existing servicing provider of his fork lift, which is very rarely used.

Having moved to West Mercia now nearly 3 years ago Rolfe arranged Dave Pugh at West Mercia to come in to renew the contract.  Rolfe stated ‘ West Mercia have done Sceneset very proud.  I really do love the Old School approach that West Mercia have in what you provide, the approach from your Sales Executive, to your engineers is fantastic and most importantly the communication West Mercia have is second to none.’   We may Only be a small user for West Mercia, but we feel like your service has always been as though we are only of your largest customers. New Directors at West Mercia

West Mercia Fork Trucks are delighted to announce the imminent opening of their  new depot in Coventry  which will give them the ability to offer a speedy, efficient service to existing customers and new customers throughout Warwickshire.

The opening of the depot has resulted in a number of staff changes within the Company and, in line with West Mercia’s policy of recruiting from within, Glenn Draper has been promoted to Service Director, David Stanley has been promoted to Coventry Depot Manager and David Pugh has been promoted to Sales Manager at the Tividale Head Office.

 Dean Pugh, Managing Director, commented “Our most important asset within our Company are our employees as it is they who deliver the top quality service required and expected by our customers. The Company has been trading for over 40 years and throughout that time we have always had a policy of promoting from within because we understand our existing staff members will promote these values”  



Holdsworth Windows Green FLTWarwickshire based Holdsworth Windows celebrates 50 years in business this year.

The family owned and run business, based at Shipston On Stour, headed by Managing Director, Mark Glover have a wealth of knowledge and experience producing bespoke steel windows, handmade leaded lights and fittings used for contemporary buildings, period properties and historic buildings.

The company are also very proactive in minimising waste and where possible like to reuse period fittings after being fully restored to their former glory.

Mark is very proud of their past achievements including installations for; Shakespeare Birthplace, Stratford Upon Avon, St Catherine’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and the windows at the top of Marble Arch in London. Holdsworth Windows have also been featured on Channel 4’s Grand Design programme for supplying windows to an oak framed eco house near Ely, Cambridgeshire

Due to their success, the company needed to expand and fortunately, were able to secure land adjacent to the existing factory providing a much-needed extension.

The company also decided to invest in their own fork truck and called upon West Mercia. After an initial meeting and site survey,

West Mercia’s David Stanley provided Mark with a choice of fork trucks that matched the brief to choose from. Marks choice of fork truck was then prepared at West Mercia’s well-equipped workshop prior to installation.
